Frank Sinatra: Where or When with Ava Gardner Rule 5

Sinatra does a wonderful job with this Rogers & Hart standard. The Sinatra biography on HBO had Sinatra singing this song when his voice broke in the early 50s and then reports on his acting comeback helped more by Ava Gardner than his Godfather.

Update: Pundette had this upbeat Where or When from Sinatra at the Sands (with Quincy Jones and the Count Basie Orchestra).  I should have linked it sooner!

Sinatra was reportedly "good in the feathers."

Rule 5 and FMJRA

Mark Steyn: I'm a fool to want you, I get a kick out of youEaster Parade, and Billie Holiday: Don't Explain
Bob Belvedere/The Camp of the Saints: Sinatra's Best Performances 67-65
Pundette: Anything GoesIn which Frank makes himself a pizza and So much Sinatra and so little time

This song is such a pleasure to listen to. Here are great covers by Peggy Lee and Lena Horne:

And here are Ella Fitzgerald and Julie London:
