The Taliban like teaching beheadings to youth, too.

    Beheading is simply a form of control through intimidation. They do it because it works.

      Absolutely, the whole public witnessing thing is similar to what public hangings were. Muslims are into the whole ritual slaughter thing in a way that is rather creepy. What happened to the quick sword strike to the neck?
